Weekend Arms

Division I

 
Troy Schreffler of the University of Maryland went 1-6 with an RBI and a walk this weekend in the weekend series against Coastal Carolina.
 
Third baseman Matt Orlando hit .200 on the weekend while ripping a double and coming across for a run
 
Chris Chaney also saw action in two games this weekend for Maryland. His line on the weekend was 1 inning pitched and two strikeouts. 
 
Donovan Montgomery, infielder from Siena, hit .333 on the weekend in their series against Eastern Kentucky.
 
Merrimack took on Wofford this weekend and catcher Kurt Stadnicki notched a single, RBI, and 2 runs scored in the series. 
 
Ralph Gambino of Penn State tossed a scoreless inning against Princeton and struck out one batter in the outing. The Nittany Lions have now improved to 9-2 on the season. 
 
Returning Silver Knight, Jack Pawloski, tossed a scoreless inning against Navy and struck out 3 of the 4 batters he faced.
 
 
Division II
 
Shea Ryan came on in relief this weekend against Lake Erie. Ryan hurled 1.2 innings, allowing just one run, and struck out a pair of hitters. However, he was charged with the loss on the day.
 
 
Division III
 
Another returning Silver Knight, Shaun Cormier, took the mound on opening day for the New England College Pilgrims. He went 5 innings, letting up just one run, and struck out 8 batters to pick up the win against Emerson. 
 
Nick Guarino got his second start of the season in Clark's spring break trip. Guarino tossed 6 innings, allowed 2 runs, and struck out 6 batters to earn the W against Illinois College and improve the Cougar's record to 3-3.
