Knights Win 3rd Straight

The Silver Knights took on the Bravehearts for the final time in the regular season and walked away with the W.

Nashua jumped out early on Worcester in the top of the 1st when a 2 out single from Kyle Sandstrom (CSU) was followed immediately by a double off the bat of Phoenix Hernandez (SNHU). The Knights would pour on some more as Hernandez once again knocked in a run, this time a single into right field. The big blow ended up being from power hitter Billy Butler (URI), who blasted a 3-run homerun over the left field wall. giving the Knights a commanding 5 run lead in the early innings.

Pitching would hold on strong for Nashua, as starter Nolan Collins (Bates) went 7 innings, giving up just 5 hits, 2 runs, and only 1 of them being earned. This would be the only production the Bravehearts would get as Shaun Cormier (New England College) would just a scoreless inning to set the table for Joe Quintal (Fordham) to earn the save.

Nashua is now just 1 game under .500 with 1 left to play in Lynn on Saturday. A win would get the Silver Knights to a .500 finish in the regular season for the first time since 2016, and could potentially earn them the 5 seed in the playoffs rather than the 6.
