Knights Win in 7

Rain prevented both ends of the double header, but weather held off long enough for the Knights to go home with a win. In a lineup featuring all 5 incoming freshman, the Silver Knights were able to put up 6 runs on the 2nd place Brockton Rox.

Lead by Barry Walsh (Boston College) the Silver Knights took the 6-4 victory in Game 1 of what was supposed to be a double header. Walsh hit a 3-run homerun in the 2nd inning to give the Knights an early lead. Jared Dupere (Northeastern) and Alex Lane (Bryant) knocked in a run each as well in the 3rd to extend the lead.

That is all relievers Jimmy Fahey (Trinity) and Jack Pawloski (UMass) would need to close this one out, as they combined for 3.1 scoreless innings. Spencer Bergeron (UMass) picked up the win, while teammate Pawloski got the save.

The Silver Knights will be playing their final regular season on Thursday. The game will be against the top seeded North Shore Navigators, and will feature $1 beers, live music, pre-game cornhole tournament, and the Nashua Babe Ruth team will be fundraising for their World Series trip to Alabama.

As of now, the Silver Knights are the 6 seed in the league. Meaning if the standings hold up, they will be travelling to Bristol for the Wild Card game.
