Knights Take Another

The Silver Knights took on the Worcester Bravehearts for the 2nd time in as many days. 2019 All Star, Pat Harrington (Assumption) took the mound for the Silver Knights.

In what began as a pitcher's duel, zeros were scattered across the board for the first 5 innings. Harrington gave Nashua 5 innings of scoreless baseball and set the table for the Knights rally in the bottom of the sixth. Phoenix Hernandez (SNHU) opened up the scoring for Nashua by singling in Noah Lucier (Stonehill). Mike La Rocca (SNHU) and Luis Atiles (New England College) manufacted runs as well to put the Knights up 3.

The Knights added an insurance run in 7th and again in the 8th to take a 5 run lead into the final inning. The Bravehearts staged a rally in the top half of the 9th, but once the ball was turned over to Jack Pawloski (UMass) the tying run was stranded on third base just 90 feet away.

The Silver Knights took the 5-4 Win and now sit just half a game back of the Bravehearts. The Knights are back in action at Holman on Saturday (Marvel Night) to take on the 2nd place North Shore Navigators, who sit 1 game out of the top seed in the standings.
