Silver Knights Rout Westfield

 The Nashua Silver Knights took on the Westfield Starfires at home on Saturday night for their

third matchup of the season. Alex Shafer pitched a strong seven innings, only allowing two hits
and one run while striking out six batters.
Scoring opened up for the Knights in the third inning with a sacrifice fly to right field by Josh
Brodeur to score Jack Arend. Noah Lucier was able to score on a wild pitch and a double from
Kyle Sandstrom brought in Ben Irvine. This 5-hit inning allowed the Knights to enter the fourth
inning up by six.
The Knights tacked on another run by Joe Bramanti in the fifth on a wild pitch. Starfires’ Andrew
Ciaciarelli scored Westfield’s only run of the night with a solo homer in the seventh inning. A
single from Brodeur allowed Billy Butler to score in the eighth inning to further secure the win
for Nashua.
The Knights improve to 6-8 and will be at Campanelli Stadium on Monday to take on the
Brockton Rox with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch.
