Knights Win Final Home Game

The Silver Knights took the field at Holman for the last regular season home game of 2019 and gave the home fans a rewarding outcome. The Knights 3 and a half hour game the victors, 7-6 over the first place North Shore Navigators.

It was a rocky start to the evening for Nashua, as North Shore came out and scored 4 runs to begin the ballgame. Nashua would return the favor in the bottom of the 3rd however, starting with a 2 run triple off the bat of Dylan Jones (FPU). Kyle Sandstrom (CSU) and Noah Lucier (Stonehill) both followed up with RBIs to knot things up at 4.

The Knights were far from finished, in the very next inning Sandstrom knocked in a run via double to right field and Phoenix Hernandez (SNHU) followed up with a 2-run double of his own to push the lead to 7-4.

The Navigators chipped away late, putting up 2 runs to cut the deficit to 1. However, strong outings from Griffin Young (Wheaton) and another save for Kyle Skidmore (Hofstra) shut the door on the top team in the FCBL.

The Silver Knights are now 25-27 and are locked in for the 6 seed in the postseason. They will play a wildcard game at either North Shore, Bristol, Brockton, or Worcester. The Knights take on the Bravehearts in Worcester Friday for their last matchup of the regular season.
