Cowles Hits for Cycle in Offensive Explosion

The Silver Knights traveled to Westfield for the first time in team history and certainly left an impression. There was no shortage of offensive power for the Silver Knights. Ben Cowles lead the way as he hit for the cycle, the first in the Futures League for this season. Noah Lucier also continued swinging the bat well as he had a 2-run homerun of his own in the early innings. Luis Atiles had a big day as well, registering 3 hits as well as 3 RBIs.

The power was well spread throughout the lineup, Bramanti, Arend, Cowles, Lucier, Sandstrom, and Jones all registered atleast 1 extra base hit.

The pitching was overshadowed by the bats, but Evan Christopulos continued his impressive summer. Earning the W, his 3rd of the season, going 6 innings and allowing just 1 run on 1 hit, and striking out 5. His season ERA is now at 3.13. Norcrosse Plourde and McGarry also had solid relief appearances, as neither allowed an earned run in their outings.

The Silver Knights will take on the 1st place Pittsfield Suns on Thursday. Sitting just half a game out of 1st place, Nashua will have an opportunity to hop into the top of the standings for the first time this season.
